Empowerment in Action: Celebrating International Women’s Day with Julia Göllnitz

At our academy, martial arts is more than just learning to punch and kick — it’s about personal growth, community, and building each other up. To celebrate International Women’s Day, we were proud to host a special session led by one of our own: Julia Göllnitz, a dedicated student at our academy and a black belt in Ju Jitsu.

Julia brought a fresh and dynamic perspective to the class, sharing her Ju Jitsu expertise with fellow students and showing how beautifully it complements Kickboxing. The session focused on real-world applications — combining striking, movement, and practical self-defence. It was both eye-opening and empowering, especially as Julia demonstrated how offensive and defensive techniques from both martial arts can work together to protect and respond effectively in any situation.

As a father, it was a proud moment to see my two daughters — both confident and capable Kickboxers — training alongside Julia. Together, they explored new ways to apply their skills, blending power, control, and awareness.

Events like this speak to the very heart of our ethos: respect, support, teamwork, and family values. Julia’s leadership and willingness to share her knowledge with the community is exactly what we stand for.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such talented and passionate individuals among our ranks. Our academy is more than a place to train — it’s a space where people lift each other up and grow together, on and off the mat.
